Introduction

The portfolio gives descriptions and analysis of two fungal decay cases, three tree risk cases, and two tree defect detection systems.  Tree cases involving two fungi species Ganoderma lucidum and Phellinus noxius was studied and significance for the health and structural integrity was analyzed, recommendation for treatment was also given. Three other tree risk cases with different defects were also studied.  Two tree defect detection systems, namely Resistograph and Tomograph were also analyzed for their applications and limitations, and suggested for improvement in the future.
